Line-Interactive Digital UPS System offers voltage regulation, surge suppression and long-lasting battery support for personal computers, network workstations, entertainment systems and more. System prevents data loss, viewing interruptions, lost recordings and loss of programming. AVR circuits regulate brownouts and overvoltages from 75V to 147V back to usable levels without using battery power. Complete power protection with support for upright tower, flat shelfmount or 2U rackmount installation. Includes 8 battery-supported outlets. Built-in USB and DB9 serial port enables optional unattended system shutdown; cabling included. HID-compliant USB interface enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Pros:
Very quiet, line filter is excellent, display is very nice, keeps my electronics stable no brown outs, rack mount is very nice, looks great in my gig rig.

I relied on tripp-lite for years proctecting my electonics. I use it on stage protecting over $20grand worth of keyboards in environments that have trusted voltage issues.

Relatively lower price, decent footprint, fine when it works; tech support relatively responsive;
Cons:
failed within first few months; a 2nd UPS of the same model failed within first year; quality control from factory?; mounting screws don''t appear to have proper holes;

The cost of this product is so low that it may make up for some of the failures, but at this point it''s not clear to me whether the time/effort it takes to replace the item (diagnosing, convincing tech support, physically replacing) is worth it; will know more in a year; also, other manufacturers also appear to have problems (APC);

Pros:
Compact size, high VA rating.
Cons:
The UPS is not silent. It has a fan in it that runs constantly. Though the fan is pretty quiet, I bought it for an entertainment center in my living room and it was too noisy. The biggest mis-advertisement with this UPS is the "PWM sinewave" output -- it is really a stepped SQUARE WAVE (-, 0, +) and will NOT drive my TV. I did not get what I thought I was buying -- PWM can be used to efficiently synthesize a quality waveform, but the specs on this UPS are plain mis-leading. Coming from a smaller APC smart UPS, the features on this UPS seemed to leave a lot to be desired. The communications capability seemed very basic based on the docs, though I did not have a chance to try them. I almost returned the unit, but gave it to a friend instead.

Works fine for most computer equipment. Good price. Not recommended for A/V or where noise is an issue. Mediocre communication and configuration. Misleading "PWM sinewave" output is really a stepped square that works OK with most power supplies, but not everything.

The LCD on the front is a nice touch, I have a data center with many UPS''s without any indicator - a quick glance at this one shows what the incoming building power looks like.

Pros:
works great :) Helped my file server survive two major storms/blackouts. Double cing the output voltage for the first week and everything was nice and smooth as promised
Cons:
software interfaces well with windows, but I ran into a couple of headaches getting either the USB or serial to connect properly in the beginning with Linux :(
