Pros:
The Brother MFC-9440CN seems to be a easy to use and versitle network printers. I have several computers using different versions of Mac OS X and PCs on Vista and all print from the network both wired and wireless seamlessly.
Cons:
Haven't encountered any negatives as yet.

I purchased this on the recommendation of a friend who is using the black and white version in his system. His has been a reliable workhorse. I am looking forward to this being an inexpensive, versatile, easy to install and reliable printer.

If you don't need good color, just quick with some color, this is a good pick. If you want good color, don't pick this one.

Pros:
2500 copies in 10 days and no jams at all!
Easy to change toner.
Cons:
Toner low indicator doesn't give a huge amount of notice that it needs changed. Takes a few seconds to print the first copy after its been hibernating, but then prints multiple copies quickly. 2-sided printing is not automatic - you have to refeed the paper through again :(

Figuring out the "how to collate/get fax receipts, etc is not very intuitive. The "feel" of the machine is fairly flimsy - so not sure it would hold up to much abuse from people trying to "force" things to happen, but all-in-all very happy with it after 2 weeks of use in a new office. Especially for the price and the quality of the copies.

Solid and reliable. Print quality is excellent. Scanning is great and fast. Not using the fax feature

Cannot scan over a print server.

Pros:
It is a lot quieter than I thought it would be based on other reviews. It works like a dream.
Cons:
It is a little slow on the warm-up but it prints so fast it more than makes up for that when printing large quantities. Only when printing a single page is it a little slow.

Great machine. Glad I ced reviews for all the optional printers before buying and I definately would recommend this one to any person doing a small business from home.
