don''t let the size fool you. This scanner is very fast and scans perfectly. With it being so small it can be placed anywhere.

Pros:
Small, fast, and very reliable. Two sided scans on a single p.
Cons:
Pricey, slightly slower with Adobe Acrobat.
Comment:
I have used many different flatbed scanners over the last 15 years. This is my first dedicated doent scanner. I''ve been getting rid of tons of paper in my office. The scanning speed of this thing is incredible. You just put a stack of papers in it and it scans them at about 2 seconds per . The included software works extremely quickly and the paper feeds virtually non-stop through the unit. I mostly use Adobe Acrobat Professional and for some reason there is a 1 second pause after each sheet. This does not happen with the included scanning software. The scans are very crisp. Keep in mind that the highest resolution is 600 so it isn''t good enough for photo work, but for normal doents is a superb performer. The unit is also very compact and is easily transported to where you need it.
Initial setup was easy and trouble free.
I bought it to replace an older HP duplex scanner that was starting to jam paper almost constantly. I often scan both sides and this unit scans both sides in a single p. That means there is no duplex unit to cause mechanical problems. It scans both sides in the same time as a single side. Wonderful!
I''m very pleased with it.

Pros:
Very small so ideal for a small desk area. Don''t let the small size fool you as this thing rocks!!! This is the fastest and most reliable scanner I have ever owned. 2 Thumbs up for Canon. Excellent shipping from PC Nation as well. I had it at my house next day.Easy to change roller kit when necessary. Have used for 8 months now and no prblems other than wearing the rollers out. Product is used every day of the week.
Cons:
Price is a little high but I have never looked back and wished I never bought it.
Comment:
A must have unit. Once you get over the price you will never stop talking about this little machine that saves you so much time.

Pros:
Tiny Footprint, very fast scanning, very rarely jams up and scan quality is great.
Extremely easy to setup. Handles all kinds of doents (varying sizes and paper weight) with ease.
Cons:
I wish it had more push button presets (at least one more). I have one set to scan Grayscale Simplex, one for Grayscale Duplex and one for Color Duplex. I could use one more preset for Color Simplex scanning.
Comment:
Fast and simple, just as I needed. I run a one-person consulting business that requires me to travel extensively and leaves little time in my office to keep up with filing and other work. This has been the perfect product to make my operation become truly paperless.
I''m able to scan all of my invoices, bills, and business doentation that I aculate each week and file it away in about 15 minutes.

Pros:
Small size. Easy to use. Having the paper feed from the bottom is a bonus I hadn''t thought of. It''s quicker to load and easier to see which doent is next.
Cons:
We liked that we can add the flatbed to this model but it would take a lot of space on a desktop.
Comment:
We''ve had just a fraction of the paper jams with the 2580c as we experienced with the KV-S2026C. That alone has been a huge benefit.

Pros:
Very fast and good scan quality
Cons:
Doent feeder is very inadequate. Jams when I try to scan a stack of good quality paper if I try for more than 5 or 6 sheets. I expected the doent feeder to take 20 or so sheets and save me some time. Very poor design.
Comment:
I would love to return this if I could because the doent feeder is so poor.

I have scanned and tossed so much paper, I had to change the way I was handling my recycling. This is a fantastic tool!
